EV Install Engineers

Key Purpose of the Job

Due to continued growth, eFaraday have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Vehicle Installation Engineer who will act as a key member of the Operations team and report to our General Manager.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing electric vehicle charging points in both domestic and commercial properties.

The role will be field-based, with national travel as required with potential for overnight stays.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Installation of electric vehicle charging points in domestic and commercial properties.
  • Demonstrate to customers how to use the Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment.
  • Ensure completion of electric paperwork including NICEIC certificiates.
  • Ensure a safety-first approach on all site activities.
  • Ensure full electrical compliance of all installations.
  • Be confident in liaising with customers and clients.

Business Development Executive

Key Purpose of the Job

Due to continued growth, eFaraday have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive who will act as a key member of the Sales team and report to our Head of Sales.

Our existing sales team are energetic, adaptable thinkers with a robust commitment to simplifying the electric vehicle transition for our customers through the provision of smart charge point solutions. As a team, we aim to position eFaraday as the go-to leader in the e-mobility sector in the United Kingdom.

You will provide support to the company’s sales team by calling prospective clients and scheduling appointments for them to speak with a dedicated salesperson.

The role will be office based in Sherburn in Elmet.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Answer inbound calls from existing clients/customers, assisting them with any queries they may have and make appointments for the client to speak to a salesperson if required.
  • Engage target contacts through phone calls and/or email communication, convey value-proposition and assess prospects level of interest.
  • Follow up on all inbound enquiries to pre-qualify them into the sales cycle for the sales personnel.
  • Arrange client/customer appointments for the sales personnel to attend (either via telephone or online video conferencing).
  • Keep accurate records of any appointments made and capture all activity on eFaraday’s CRM platform.
  • Have a full understanding of the business product they are working with.
  • Provide any administrative support that is required within the sales department.

The Person:

  • Inside sales, telemarketing or call centre experience required.
  • Excellent customer service and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Adept with speaking with customers over the telephone.
  • CRM experience (e.g. salesforce) and qualifying lead flow.
  • Strong knowledge of MS packages.
  • Comfortable working to agreed SLA’s.
  • Ability to understand products and services, research information and record daily activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the EV industry is desirable.
  • Successful B2B sales experience strongly preferred.

Business Development Manager

Key Purpose of the Job

Due to a period of growth, eFaraday are expanding and are currently looking for a highly motivated and seasoned Business Development Manager to join our team.

Our existing sales team are energetic, adaptable thinkers with a robust commitment to simplifying the electric vehicle transition for our customers through the provision of smart charge point solutions. As a team, we aim to position eFaraday as the go-to leader in the e-mobility sector in the United Kingdom.

The Business Development Manager will be at the forefront of delivering on our B2B sales objectives and network expansion efforts in future, with a strong focus on driving new business acquisition in a dedicated sector. The role is best suited to a strategic, target driven candidate that possesses a solid technical understanding and a strong desire to achieve in a fast-paced environment.

The role will be home-based (With some travel required to our regional offices).

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the sales territory and sector strategy for growth.
  • Seek new business opportunities through active prospecting, networking and public demonstration of eFararday’s solutions.
  • Meet daily with marketing qualified prospects to ascertain their EVSE requirements and progress them into the sales cycle.
  • Connect with and use value-based selling methodologies to differentiate eFaraday’s proposition with business owners and key decision makers (C-Suite) that are in the market or tendering for EVSE.
  • Schedule in and carry out technical site surveys to effectively progress new quote opportunities.
  • Compile project brief documentation for engineering analysis.
  • Assess customer’s EV charging requirements and adopt a consultive sales approach to introduce a fit-for-purpose solution that will best deliver on their specific use case.
  • Compile technical sales proposals and quotations to present back to clients timeously as an output of the survey and costing process.
  • Effectively negotiate and close sales deals to drive market share and margin growth.
  • Report back weekly to the Head of Sales on the evolution of assigned leads and competitor activities.
  • Update the Sales CRM system daily to ensure accurate records are kept and information is protected in compliance with GDPR.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on all topics related to EV Charging and EMSP solutions in one of the predefined sectors we are recruiting for. These will be discussed in more depth with candidates during interview stage.
  • Facilitate post-installation demonstrations and handovers with clients.
  • Evaluate tender specifications and lead eFararday’s response efforts to ensure we hold a competitive position throughout the procurement cycle.
  • Manage existing customer relationships to ensure a continuous cycle of renewals and upsell opportunities.
  • Attend and represent eFaraday at trade shows and industry events from time to time as required.

Please note that this role does require cross-sector selling within a defined territory, however, the candidate will primarily focus their new business outreach efforts in one of our predefined sectors and serve as the subject matter expert within the business for this sector.

The Person:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a Channel Sales, Key Account Management, Business Development role or another relevant field.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; written and oral with the ability to interpret and transmit complex solutions at a senior level.
  • Proven ability to develop, foster and maintain high-quality relationships with C-level contacts in multi-faceted sectors.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work autonomously to drive projects to fruition.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven track record of sales success within a direct technical sales role.
  • Previous experience in formulating territory or multi-channel sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with working with CRM systems and online quoting tools.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office suite.
  • Business degree educated desirable.
  • Previous experience within the EV charging industry is advantageous.
