The cost to install an EV charge point is bespoke and depends on the type you choose. Prices start at £699.
Once we have confirmed your purchase, we’ll try to get your charge point installed as soon as possible. Installation lead time does depend on location type and size, but usually occurs within 2 weeks of payment.
One of our engineering team will install your EV charge point. Trained and adhering to the latest and highest standards, they will give you the low-down on how to use your new home charger, as well as offer advice on your new electric vehicle, public charging and efficient driving.
Yes. Please be present for the installation so that you can show the engineer where you would prefer to have your charge point installed and receive a demonstration on how to use your charge point.
A standard installation typically takes 2 hours per charge point. The whole process will therefore depend on how many charge points you have installed. The more information you can provide us during the initial consultation, the more likely everything will run smoothly on the day without delays.
Not particularly! Have an idea of where you would like your charge point to be installed and make sure there isn’t anything blocking the area for the engineer.
Our 24/7 Managed Services contract covers the monitoring and maintenance of your entire charge point system. It includes:
Active Load Management to protect your building’s power supply and maintain power requirements, to avoid power blackouts and downtime.
Live availability and status monitoring.
Automatic fault detection and remote fixing when possible.
Annual maintenance visits to check your charge points are in tip-top condition.
Engineer call-out response within 4hrs if there is an issue.
Tailored reporting and insights on energy use, carbon footprint, and costs.
eFaraday App to remotely manage all aspects of your charge points, from anywhere in the world.
24/7 support, 365 days a year – and always with another human on the end of the line.
We don’t believe you should pay for monitoring and maintenance when your charge point’s not in use. That’s why we offer a Pay-per-Charge scheme in which you only pay when your vehicle is charging. Get in touch for your estimated monthly charge, based on your vehicle and driving habits.
We don’t believe in hidden costs and charges. Apart from the installation costs and 24/7 Managed Services contract, you will only be charged for additional engineer call outs.
No, you don’t have to have a 24/7 Managed Services contract with us if you have an EV charge point installed. You can have your system managed by someone else or not at all. It’s up to you.
If you don’t have a 24/7 managed services contract we are still able to fix your charge point. However, there will be an additional one-off cost.
The number of charge points you can have installed at your home or on-site depends on the electrical grid supply of electricity to the area. However, because we use advanced Load Management Technology, we are able to safely install a greater number of EV charge points on your existing electricity supply.
The cost to charge an electric vehicle depends on your energy supplier and tariff. However, assuming you pay 14p per kWh and your vehicle travels an average of 3.5 miles per kWh, then to charge your vehicle to travel 100 miles would cost you approximately £4.
How long an electric vehicle takes to charge depends on how big the car battery and the speed of the charge point. An electric vehicle can charge in as little as 30 minutes to 12 hours, depending on these factors.
Yes, all the charge points we install are compatible with all types and brands of electric vehicles, including Tesla. It is not necessary to buy the branded option of charge point.
We install a number of different charge point types and manufactures that are suitable for public charging. However, we would recommend a rapid charging unit as they provide the fastest charge experience for your customers.
We provide charge point solutions that provide various payment options to charge a vehicle. Get in touch to discuss your business needs and we’ll work with you to find a bespoke solution.
No. Once a charge cycle has started, the charge point cable is locked in place until the user ends the charge.
