About PZ Cussons

PZ Cussons is a major British manufacturer of personal healthcare products and consumer goods. With their HQ based in Manchester, they operate worldwide and have a portfolio of brands including Carex, Imperial Leather, Original Source and under its Beauty division Sanctuary Spa, St Tropez, Fudge and Charles Worthington.

The Objective

PZ Cussons is a sustainably-minded company and is working towards achieving B Corp status and being carbon neutral by 2025. As part of this, they are actively working to reduce their carbon emissions as a business. Installing EV charge points is part of this initiative and PZ Cussons wanted an EV solution that would help encourage more sustainable travel for their employees and visitors, as well as future-proof their sites for the predicted increase of EVs and thus demand for charge points.

PZ Cussons required charge point installation across two sites. Their HQ and manufacturing site, both located in Manchester.

The Project

We successfully installed 6 Easee Charge 22kW charge points at PZ Cussons’ HQ and a further 4 charge points on the manufacturing site. All charge points were installed in the company’s designated car parks, using a duel-mounting solution which allows for two charge points to be installed onto one stand-alone post. This allows for a space-saving solution that looks smart and tidy, all with hidden wiring.

At HQ, bays were painted an eye-catching blue with clear EV markings with sleek metal barriers to protect the charge points from damage. On the manufacturing site, we installed wheel stops and clearly marked out the bays for EV use.

PZ Cussons use our eFaraday management platform, driven by iEquos software, to be in full control of their charge points across all sites. They can easily set and amend tariffs, opening hours, fees, users and much more. Plus, we monitor all their charge points 24/7 via a dedicated ARC, so that any issues are caught in real-time and responded to by a monitoring operative, ensuring minimal charge point downtime.
